Please read our FAQ page prior to purchasing.

I still have questions….Great! We have a lot of answers!

A little about us...

We are a small, family-owned business. Tom and I both work non-stop doing what we love best and feel very grateful for this opportunity.  We are located just outside of Kansas City, Missouri, so your new furniture will be made in the USA! You can find out more about our story: ABOUT US

1. What is the current lead time?

current lead time is at least 2-3 weeks as of May 15, 2024. Please know that sometimes as a small business, we can hit a snag and things can slow us down but we will work hard to keep up with this posted time. We appreciate your patience while we create your beautiful handmade item!

2. Why do I not see shipping rates?

Shipping is free unless you are in Hawaii or Alaska, please message us for rates as they are NOT the same. We wish they were. We ship only to the United States (48 contiguous). We do not ship to APO, FPO or PO boxes.

3. What is the difference between "assembly required" and "fully assembled plus freight shipping"?

Quad trash and laundry cabinets: We offer expert assembly, FedEx Freight shipping, (to the first  level entrance of the home, building or driveway) and the correct number of trash cans. To receive your item fully assembled and delivered via freight to your driveway or curb, with all of the hamper bags or trashcans and backing please use the dropdown menu.

All other cabinets and hampers require assembly. Trash cans can be purchased separately as they are not included with our assembly-required option. Trash cans can be purchased here:

4. Where do you ship? Who is your shipper? How much is shipping?

Shipping is free for the contiguous U.S. We ship only to the United States.

Our carrier is FedEx and UPS. We will ship to the address listed on your order. If you have entered the wrong address, just message us before we ship your item. We can help. But once it ships, it has to be redirected and FedEx charges for that service.

If you are local to Kansas City, contact us to pick your item up.

Large coffee tables and quad units with drawers are sent via FedEx freight. For quad units choose freight for this to be applicable. An adult may need to be present for delivery. Entry tables and end tables are sent ground. Entry tables require some assembly.

Other important info:

1. Do I need backing?

The back is open unless you purchase a bin/hamper with a drawer. If your bin/hamper has a drawer then the drawer portion is covered. See the picture below.  Full hardboard backing serves no functional purpose. Our bins/hampers are sturdy and solid. Your bin/hamper is easier to clean with *no* backing attached. For those customers who would prefer backing, We do sell it separately under ADD ON ITEMS located in the top menu. This backing must be purchased at the same time as your item and can't be shipped after your cabinet has shipped without charging shipping.

If purchased, the back of the bin is hardboard backing. As you can see, it's not a 'finished' back. But then again, most backs are to the wall. Finished backing, which includes painting the backing is not available. It is only available as depicted.

2. Where is the mounting bracket on cabinets and hampers and do I need to use it?

The bracket can be found in the back of the bin/hamper on the inside. If you have a drawer, remove the drawer to locate it. If not, just open the door and look towards the back. It is built into the triangle side pieces behind the cabinet. See picture below. Drill through the backing if you have it and into your structure.

We require mounting any type of cabinet purchased from us. It is your responsibility to use the provided safety measures to keep your family safe. If you need assistance, contact a professional. We provide this as a way to keep you safe however, it is your responsibility to secure your cabinet.

3. How do I use this trash cabinet/hamper?

The cabinet is very easy to use. Think of it as a cabinet door that you pull open using the handle and also hold the handle to guide the door shut. We have a video available if a visual is helpful. See below. We now equip our cabinets and hampers with soft close dampers!

Please use furniture protectors when placing items on top. To clean your cabinet, use a soft cloth, warm water, and the tiniest amount of dish soap. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals. It will ruin the surface.

The trash bins will hold a 13-gallon kitchen trash bag. We currently offer trash as an add on item or you can grab your own. The cans were offer measure: 11 in. W x 15.25 in. D x 19.875 in. H. It holds 41 quarts or 10.25 gallons. Our trash cabinets do not include a trash can. You can purchase one from us or purchase your own preferred brand once the cabinet arrives home.

Laundry hampers will come with removable laundry bags…again, nice! The laundry bag dimensions are 15 ½“W x 9 ½” D x 23 ¼” H.

4. Do you have items in stock and ready to ship?

Your new cabinet will be made to order in your color choice with your handle selection and with your door center. Since each item is made fresh, we don’t have items in stock for immediate delivery. The items you see in our pictures were sold. You can count on your item to look nearly identical to the listing. Of course, if your item is stained, wood grain will vary.

Your trash cabinet or laundry hamper will take several weeks to receive. Seems like forever, but it’s worth the wait. Please keep in mind we are a very small, less than 6 person company and while we work diligently to keep our turn around time under 5 weeks, it is extremely possible to run late. If you have questions, feel free to ask. Also, we greatly appreciate your patience!

Tables and most home items, including stove covers are also made to order. Expect to wait for them to be crafted just for you.

5. Do you have sales or promo codes?

We like to keep our orders at a manageable level. We are a small company of 6 employees. On occasion, we will have a sale if we feel like we can fulfill orders in a timely manner. Additional discount codes are not valid during sales.

Sale price matching is not available during black Friday-cyber Monday sales.

Sale prices (outside of bfcm) can be price-matched for 3 days after the purchase. If it is after 3 days, no matching will be made.

Materials and colors of hampers and trash cabinets:

*orders placed after 01/01/2023

1. What are the cabinets, hampers, and benches made from?

*Our painted cabinets/hampers, some stove covers, and pet products are made with a thermally fused laminate, which is FSC-certified, Rainforest Alliance-certified, and Anti-Microbial. Prior to orders placed 01-01-2024, items not stained are painted.

Our small pieces, such as some internal components of the item may be made of engineered wood from Glacier Green, a certified green product.

Our stained items are Baltic Birch. We look for the best wood we can find to build your item. Our wood is certified from The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) a non-profit organization committed to encouraging the responsible management of the world’s forests. You can shop with us knowing the materials we use are sourced responsibly.

A little more about the look and feel:

Stained items are made from Baltic birch please expect occurrences from nature, including texture. This will have texture. There is no edge banding on wood furniture. Please look carefully at our pictures. Utilize the zoom function on your device. We work hard to ensure our pictures are accurate as well as our descriptions. The most distinctive feature of Baltic birch is that the edges are attractive, uniform stripes of hardwood veneer, usually alternating light and dark bands

Our solid color cabinets are thermally fused laminate. Not only is this environmentally responsible but cleanable! No need to worry about damage from cleaning it. This is the same material used for many kitchen cabinets and closets.

  • Thermally fused finished panels may be easily cleaned using a mild, non-abrasive, all-purpose cleaner and a soft cloth. Coffee, tea, or other difficult stains may be removed using a mild household detergent or a paste of baking soda and water (note: 10-20 strokes should remove most stains, excessive force or scrubbing may damage the surface)
  • Harsh chemicals or abrasive materials should not be used. Should the surface come in contact with a drain, toilet, or oven cleaner immediately remove the chemical, rinse thoroughly, and wipe dry. Abrasives such as scouring pads or gritty cleansers may permanently dull and/or scratch the surface and result in future staining.
  • Protect the surface from hot or sharp objects. Do not place hot cookware, dishes, or objects on the surface. Knives and other sharp objects used directly on the surface can also be damaging. Protect surfaces from heat with an insulating pad or trivet, and from sharp objects with a chopping block or counter protector

When the item is painted, we use washable, cabinet paint in a semi-gloss finish paint on our cabinets and hampers. Our tables are finished in an eggshell. To clean your cabinet, use a soft cloth, warm water, and the tiniest amount of mild dish soap. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals. It will ruin the surface. Our favorite cleaner? Behr cleaning wipes! Also, we advise using felt pads under decor to protect your finish.

Caring for Butcher Block from the Southern Living magazine:

1. How To Clean And Sanitize

Cutting directly on the surface is convenient, but it will leave stains. Lightly scrape off any stuck-on residue with a spatula, and then use a damp cloth to wipe the surface clean with mild dish soap and water. Next, it's time to sanitize. Combine equal parts water and equal parts white vinegar in a spray bottle; spray it over the surface and wipe it down with another damp cloth. Cleaning and sanitizing the surface should be done daily.

2. How To Condition

Over time, butcher-block countertops can lose their luster and look dull and dry. Give them a refresh with food-safe mineral oil or butcher-block conditioner (available at home improvement stores). Don't use a food oil, like olive or vegetable oil, which will oxidize on the surface and start to smell. Start with a clean countertop, and then pour on the mineral oil, spreading it over the surface with a cloth. Let it sink in and dry for an hour. Then apply another coat. Condition butcher-block countertops every few months to restore their natural sheen.

3. How To Minimize Nicks And Scratches

Butcher-block countertops are basically built-in cutting boards. You can chop fruits and vegetables directly on the surface. (For sanitary reasons, slicing meat, poultry, or fish should probably be done on a cutting board.) Inevitably, knives will cut nicks and scratches into the surface. Remedy the wear and tear by lightly sanding over the blemish. Then clean the area and apply mineral oil to buff the restored area.

4. How To Repair A Crack

If there's a large crack in your butcher-block countertops, call a professional. If it's a small hairline fracture, you can repair it yourself. Apply a food-safe wood glue over the crack, and let it dry. Sand down the excess dried glue, and then clean and condition.

5. How To Avoid Mold And Rot

Butcher block is a porous surface. Protect against mold and rot by wiping up puddles of water as soon as you notice them. Wood also expands and contracts when it gets wet, so if avoidable, pass on surrounding your kitchen sink with butcher block. If you do, make sure the edges are thoroughly sealed.

Our drawers are full extension drawers!

*colors names/brands subject to change without notice.

Below are paint colors that are no longer available. If you ordered a cabinet before 1-31-24 and need touch-up, this is the paint color.

We have found it matches most homes best.

Green                  Royal Orchard PPU11-01

Dark gray            Behr Magnetic Gray N500-5

The colors we stock are for cabinet and feeder tops are below.

Our name           Maker name

Aged Barrel        Aged Barrel - Varathane

Dark brown         Jacobean - Minwax

Warm brown        Provincial  - Minwax

Stained bins will have a layer of clear protector applied. Swirls and grain are present. Edges are not banded on stained wood. Please utilize the zoom feature to see details.

Keep in mind when looking at the stain colors, we use Baltic birch plywood. Each wood species will react to stain in a different way. This is important if you are trying to match cabinets.

Again, we mention, a stained cabinet will have swirls and color variation along with wood grain and texture. If this is not something you prefer, consider our painted items. We sand our items and work to ensure they are smooth. However, some of the swirls and lines are caused by nature, and some by the manufacturer. See the example below.

The colors listed above are the colors we stock. There is no charge for ordering the above colors. They are interchangeable.

The trash can inside may vary in color depending on availability. Handle styles may vary slightly depending on availability.

2. I would like to use my own hardware.

Our cabinets are built with center to enter holes that measure 3 inches. This seems to be the most common dimension. We also offer several different handles. You are welcomed to switch your handles out once the cabinet arrives to you home. No alteration to the drill holes can be made. All cabinet will be drilled at 3 inches. We apologize for the inconvenience.

3. Replacement Parts:

Contact us if you have any issues within one year of your purchase date. We will gladly help you with replacement parts free of charge.

If your purchase date exceeds one year, we will ask that you pick up the shipping cost of the part but we will replace the part free of charge.

Hardware will be replaced one time free of charge. If you find that you need a repeat of the same piece or it is beyond one year, we will provide a replacement but ask that you pay the shipping charge for the item.

4. Drawers:

The coffee table legs are painted soft ivory eggshell paint finish and lightly distressed. They are made of solid knotty pine.

Coffee tables arrived FedEx freight and entry tables and end tables are shipped ground. Coffee tables and end tables are assembled. Entry tables are not and will require some assembly.

All tables are made just for you. Expect a wait time of at least 3 weeks. However, the current lead time can vary so please contact us if this is an issue for you.

Our default leg color is soft ivory. We do offer a soft white (by request). This white is not bright white like paper but much lighter than the soft ivory. Please see the picture below for comparison. The distressed table leg is soft ivory and the leg with no distressing is soft white.

Changes, damage, cancellations and returns

1. Can I change the dimensions?

We have several different bin dimensions in our shop and do not offer dimension changes.

Please measure your space before ordering. Some of our bins are counter height and others are not. We do our best to keep the site up to date. Please contact us if the listed dimension accuracy is crucial. We will be able to verify the size. We try to keep the website updated but we are human and listings can be missed.

2. What if I want to make a change after the order is placed?

Unfortunately, once your order is placed your choices are processed. For this reason, no changes can be made once you hit the SUBMIT button. Also know we are ALWAYS just an email away. Message us with any questions prior to ordering.

As a side note, we do offer additional panels for purchase if you chose the wrong one during the ordering process. Also, it is nice to have more than one panel! You can switch up your style whenever you want!

3. Can I return an item?

Returns are a hassle for everyone. Since these are custom made, and expensive to ship, we strongly encourage you to read our listing and our FAQ page prior to purchasing. We work hard to provide answers to many questions. Familiarize yourself with our return policy prior to purchasing. We are not a big box store and returns may not be what you are accustomed to if you shop box stores.

Although the damage is not common, like everything else, it can happen. If it happens to you, relax and know we will help you! Send us pictures of the damaged item and the damaged box. Most items can be repaired easily with help from us. This might include sending touch up paint or sending a replacement part. Almost any piece on the cabinet is able to be replaced by us and installed with minimal effort from the customer.

We will provide replacement parts for any damage. Pieces can replaced with a screwdriver with an interchangeable head to make the process even easier. In the even we offer replacement parts for the repair and you opt to return the item on your own, a restocking fee of 25% will be applied.

5. What is assembly like?

We provide a Youtube link with a voice guided assembly. Feel free to pause and rewind as necessary. Your video link is included with your package. No special tools are needed other than a handheld drill on a low setting or an interchangeable head screwdriver.

If you need any assistance during the assembly process, email us. We check our email very often, even on the weekend. We will likely ask for pictures of what is causing issues and can offer solutions, guidance or tips.

The majority of our customers are able to very easily assemble their items. However, if you opt to hire help to assemble your cabinet we will not, under any circumstances reimburse the cost of your assembly choice. If the cabinet is altered by drilling additional holes, adding brackets, feet, levelers without our permission, we will not repair, replace or refund any part of the item. Contact us first for help. 6. Can I get money back in lieu of parts?

We do not provide discounts or monetary compensation, please don't ask us, it is very awkward for us..... but we will happily provide repair pieces to get your purchase up and running as quickly as possible.

I need help with feeders and food storage:

1. How do I measure my pet for an elevated dog feeder?

Determine the correct position for your dog's food bowl by measuring your standing dog from the floor under the front paws to the top of the shoulders and then subtract about 5-6 inches.

Side note... if your dog is like ours and drinks water like they are bobbing for apples, please clean up any splashed water. This is a wood products and although the feeder itself is painted with several coats of premium paint, it can still be damaged. Feeders are made of the same material as our cabinets Glacier Green and/or Baltic birch . The stained feeders (or stained tops) will come with a clear poly coat on top of the wood. If you feel you need more once it arrives to you home, feel free to add it.

2. What are the hole sizes in your elevated feeders? Can I use my own bowl?

Our elevated feeders have a hole size of 7 5/16 for the 2-quart bowls and 9 inches for the 3 quarts. Two bowl feeders come with 2-quart bowls. The 2-quart bowls hold 4 cups of dry food. Three bowl feeders come with two 2-quart bowls and one 3-quart bowl in the center for water.

You are welcomed to switch out your bowls once they arrive at your home. Just use the measurements provided to ensure they will fit. We are not able to change the hole size.

3. How high should the bowls be for cats?

When it comes to raised feeders, cats are a little different. They would rather eat crouched than standing up. According to the experts at Animal Wellness Magazine, “The ideal height for a raised feeder is the cat’s knee height (approximately 4” to 6”); this eliminates the need to lift up the head while eating or drinking.”

We offer matching food storage.
